About me

Dr. Carolyn V. Becker, PhD

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Specializing in Anger Management Solutions.

If you’re struggling to control your anger, anxiety or depression, you are not alone. Therapeutic work is the pathway for change to strengthen relationships and improve family cohesion. Everything we do in life is enhanced by our ability to successfully bond with others on some level. Difficulties with anger, depression, and/or anxiety can hurt this effort and result in a high level of conflict infecting every facet of our lives.  A tailored approach targets these negative emotions and offers solutions to achieve the results you want. I utilize Family Systems with a Collaborative approach to achieve these goals.

Clinical Training

Welcome C Becker
Dr. Carolyn Becker

My training included therapeutic strategies in both inpatient and outpatient facilities. The position involved a rotation within the various Psychiatric Hospitals in Los Angeles and working with patients to improve placement and treatment options for individuals suffering from mental illness. I also administered Anger Management protocols for California’s Drug Treatment Program. My work in this area has given me insight and appreciation for the challenges in our mental health system.

This experience guided my development as a Marriage and Family Therapist using Narrative Theory as the framework of my treatment. The power of anxiety and distress on couples can interfere with healthy family adjustment. My office is a place for a safe examination of life’s difficulties that we explore together. Conflicts can be healed and new emotional expressions can be learned. I currently offer Anger Management, Trauma Relief, Anxiety, and Depression Therapy, and Marriage Counseling at my private office in Fort Worth, Texas.
