Video Conferencing Now Available
Video conferencing is now available due to the COVID-19 pandemic. There is widespread concern in our community about the Coronavirus Disease 2019, and I want you to know that your health is my top priority. The challenges presented by the COVID-19 are significant and require serious adjustment to therapeutic service delivery. Published government recommendations are for everyone to engage in aggressive and preventive steps to protect individual and societal health. These challenges require everyone to adapt to new situations and practices.
The declaration recognizes mental health providers as essential and allows them to remain open. However, to respect social distancing protocols, I am now offering video conferencing as an alternative service delivery option.
BEST PRACTICES FOR CLIENTS DURING CORONAVIRUS COVID-19
With the increasing uncertainty and a growing number of infected individuals around the world, it’s important to take a proactive approach to minimize exposure.
- If you’ve recently been in any airport, please wait 14 days before coming in for an appointment.
- If you or someone close to you has recently traveled to or from Iran, South Korea, China, or Italy, you should postpone booking an appointment to ensure you are able to rest and take the necessary steps to remain safe.
- If you’re exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness, I urge you to stay home, take care of yourself, and seek medical help when appropriate.
If you would like to schedule a video conference, please send me an email or call 817-349-3898 with contact information and your anticipated location for the meeting. I will respond with appointment times available and instructions for how to prepare for the session in compliance with known HIPPA regulations to ensure all privileges and confidentiality are maintained. This new video platform will allow us to address therapeutic concerns through a secure video link. If this is an option for you, please let me know, and I’ll make the necessary arrangements.
Please refer to the CDC’s dedicated 2019-ncov website for additional information, and maintain awareness by checking the official communications from the Centers for Disease Control and World Health Organization.
